Strengthens and Reorganizes Global Legal Talent Staffing Capabilities                                                                      SYKE to Combine with Advisory Division under Consilio Brand

WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 24, 2024 – Consilio, the global leader in legal technology solutions and enterprise legal services, today announced it is continuing to fuel its expansion and commitment to the talent solutions space by rebranding its legacy US and UK Talent Solutions businesses as part of the Lawyers On Demand – a Consilio company brand. Acquired in September 2023, this merging of Lawyers On Demand (LOD) with Consilio’s platform of offerings expands clients’ options for legal talent solutions as well as enhances the experience of our flexible talent.

“We have been building our legal talent capabilities for the last few years, but with the addition of the Lawyers On Demand team, our offerings are more robust and have a broader global reach,” said Robb Hern, SVP and Divisional Leader of Enterprise Legal Services, Consilio. “This commitment further supports law firms and corporate counsel with their legal, compliance, and other talent needs; whether that is an interim general counsel, tax attorneys, anti-money laundering compliance professionals, and beyond.”

This combined offering brings together the services of Lawyers On Demand with Consilio’s expertise on talent solutions, workforce optimization, and staffing technology solutions. As part of this transition, Consilio’s Legal Secondments, Managed Teams, Direct Hire Placements, and Enterprise Accounts teams will remain the same but report under the Lawyers On Demand brand.

Lawyers On Demand remains an integrated part of the broader Consilio experience and ecosystem, so that clients can tap into and realize the benefits of the world’s largest community of knowledge, client peers, technology, and talent in legal.

Recent polling from Lawyers On Demand, as well as in the market, confirm that over half of the industry plans to hire additional lawyers in the first half of 2024, and leveraging of contingent labor remains the preferred method of hire. This is on the heels of data indicating that two-thirds of managers in the workforce had to pause projects in 2023, but were poised to pick them up in 2024.

“I could not be prouder of how far we have come in such a short time in the US, and to begin this journey with my peers from the UK, APAC, Dubai, and Australia, and our respective teams, has left me inspired,” said Patty Wise, Managing Director, US, Lawyers On Demand. “I believe we are truly elevating not only our client’s experience on a daily basis but also the careers of our talent.”

SYKE Integration with Consilio’s Advisory Services
As part of this transition, over the next several quarters, the SYKE brand, a premier legal technology consultancy that Consilio acquired alongside LOD last year, will begin its transition under the main Consilio banner integrating with the Advisory & Transformation business – which assists with design and implementation of strategic initiatives for legal and compliance teams for companies and law firms worldwide.

“With our complementary geographies from the US to UK, South Africa, India, and South America, we have a best-of-breed and follow-the-sun advisory team that builds legal solutions with our clients and technology partners, shoulder to shoulder, to unlock the efficiency and opportunities needed to serve their clients and stakeholders,” said Alistair Maiden, former Executive Vice President – Chief Executive Officer of SYKE, now Global Lead of Advisory for Consilio.

Consilio acquired LOD and SYKE to expand the Enterprise Legal Services (ELS) business across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia as well as expand upon mutual presence in the US and UK.
