Danielle V. Brooks is a Director in Consilio’s Global Revenue Organization supporting the Financial Services Vertical. In her role as the vertical’s chief of staff, she coordinates and helps drive multiple knowledge sharing initiatives to include exclusive client-centered events and monthly communications that keep our clients informed on the latest developments in both their industry and ours. She also provides relationship management and team coordination across thousands of eDiscovery and document review matters. In addition to her main responsibilities, Danielle is an active member of the Client Experience and Diversity and Inclusion leadership committees. She also serves as a co-chair of Consilio’s first established affinity group, The Black Responsiveness Affinity Group (B.R.A.G.) and participates in the company’s summer internship program.

Katie is a senior eDiscovery Counsel and Regional Vice President at Consilio. She has extensive experience assisting corporate legal departments and law firms with eDiscovery and needs that arise from complex litigation. She has resided in the legal tech industry for over a decade, assisting clients with solutions at the crossroads of legal and tech. Prior to joining Consilio, Katie led and help build the managed review practice as Director of Delivery at Special Counsel. She frequently managed matters that obtained significant data volumes and conducted complex reviews of 100+ attorneys. Katie is the founder of the Women in eDiscovery – Miami chapter and remains on the board. Before entering the practice of law, she worked at France’s largest national bank, BNP Paribas in New York City structuring products and alternative investments in the equity derivatives department. Katie is fluent in Spanish, is a University of Florida graduate, and a Pennsylvania State University School of Law alum.

James has been with Consilio since 2016 and is a Senior Director in the Digital Forensics and Expert Services (DFES) group. James’ role at Consilio involves the leadership and oversight of the Chicago and Mid-Atlantic/D.C digital forensic and eDiscovery teams, creation and monitoring compliance of defensible processes and procedures relating to digital forensics and eDiscovery, managing high profile and/or highly complex collections for litigation matters, supervising forensic analysis and examinations, and providing expert services via testimony or consulting. James is actively involved with our CLE and speaking programs and conducts training for internal and external clients.
James began his career in the Digital Forensics space in 2003, while working at the Avis Budget Group. There, he learned to forensically image various types of media and equipment, and working with the Human Resources and Legal partners, conduct internal employee investigations. James grew the role to include internal eDiscovery efforts and helped create and shape internal policies and best practices. James worked on dozens of investigations while working for Avis and partnered with local and federal law enforcement agencies when necessary to provide evidence and investigation history. James worked in this role until 2011.
In 2011 James joined the parent company of Lexis Nexus, Reed Elsevier, as the “Senior eDiscovery IT Liaison”. His role here was to facilitate eDiscovery requests by creating partnerships within the various organizations and business units of Reed Elsevier, use his forensic skillset to aid in unauthorized access or “breach” events, and perform internal investigation work as directed by the Global Compliance team.
In addition to his day-to-day work, James also presents CLE classes and webinars on behalf of Consilio covering a variety of eDiscovery and forensic topics.

Xavier Diokno is a Senior Vice President at Consilio, a global leader in eDiscovery, document review and legal consulting services.
Xavier Diokno has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Southern Illinois University, a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a juris doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law. He is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Xavier worked in the information technology industry for ten years in database administration and software development. For more than a decade, Xavier was part of Consilio’s Data Analytics group, where he oversaw the team’s tripling in size, as well as numerous large-scale projects involving Technology Assisted Review, Immediate Case Assessments™, and novel analytics research. Xavier now applies his technical and legal experience to overseeing Consilio’s Innovation initiatives, including researching new technologies like artificial intelligence and developing their application to legal services.
Representative engagements include:
- Served as main analytics point of contact for several AmLaw 100 firms and Fortune 500 corporations
- Managed projects involving predictive coding and responding to government second requests

Jane is a former practicing litigation attorney. For the past 12 years, Jane has successfully worked with corporate in-house legal departments and law firms to design and implement legally defensible and cost-effective processes for collection, processing, managed review review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI) utilizing AI technology. Additionally, Jane assists her clients with non-litigious legal data initiatives, including M&A Due Diligence, Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Government and Internal Investigations, Bankruptcy, and Contracts Review.
At Consilio, Jane is responsible for managing relationships with a portfolio of strategic accounts spanning numerous highly regulated industries. In addition, she is responsible for driving the use of value- based business development strategies specific to the Pharmaceutical vertical. Jane draws upon her litigation experience and her years of industry experience put her clients’ needs first.

Ben Hengels is a Director of Business Development at Consilio, a global leader in Legal Consulting & Legal Services.

With over 17 years of experience in the legal technology and legal services, Nathan has supported clients across the UK, USA and for the past 9 years, Hong Kong. As a Regional Director, Nathan has worked with many of the world’s top corporations and law firms, he has a wealth experience leading and building regional teams in addition to advising clients on all aspects of the eDiscovery workflow, including data collection, digital forensics, data processing/analytics, and document review.
Nathan has a track record in dealing with cross-border matters and well-versed in the unique challenges that arise when conducting multi-jurisdictional eDiscovery. This includes advising on the options for managing cases with data sensitivities and the best practice for handling cases with multiple languages, data types and data sources.
In addition to his work as an eDiscovery consultant, Nathan has been a guest lecturer at a Hong Kong University where he discussed legal technology and the various career opportunities that it can provide.

As the Global Head of Cyber Response Solutions and senior member of Consilio’s Client Services team, James focuses on helping clients and their counsel develop and implement effective strategies when impacted by data privacy and cyber incidents.
With 15+ years of legal, eDiscovery, and cyber response experience, James has consulted on and managed highly complex engagements for clients across a range of industries including the financial, insurance, and technology sectors. As the Global Head for Consilio’s Cyber Response service offering, James uses this expertise to assist clients impacted by a range of privacy and cyber incidents including Business Email Compromise, Ransomware, and Data Exfiltration. Working hand in hand with clients, their breach counsel, and cyber forensic firms, James and his team offer clients a range of services when responding to an incident including data collection and hosting, analytics-driven data mining, document review, and notification report generation. James’ team leverages Consilio’s global footprint, allowing the team to provide services in jurisdictions across the world while ensuring clients are complying with local privacy regulations.
Additionally, James is an adjunct professor at Wake Forest University School of Law where he teaches a course on Electronic Discovery. He is also a frequent speaker and panel moderator on topics relating to data privacy, cyber incident response, and eDiscovery.
James received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Business Administration and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston Salem, NC. He is based in North Carolina and has maintained an active license to practice law there since 2007.

Kamaka Martin, Esq. is the Senior Vice President of US Client Services at Consilio. Kamaka has over 18 years of legal consultation experience and has worked with several Fortune 500 corporations advising on best practices when using software as a service, artificial intelligence and bespoke managed services offerings to manage complex litigation. Kamaka has expertise in Technology Assisted Review, advanced analytics and has been instrumental in the development of workflows that utilize core predictive analytics features. Kamaka also speaks regularly about inclusion and diversity in the legal industry and the importance of fostering an equitable environment for professionals and clients to thrive. Kamaka graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lafayette College with a B.A. in History and Government and Law with Honors in 2004. She also received her J.D. from the University of Melbourne while living abroad in Australia.
