Webinar: What’s New in Collections: Remote Collections During COVID-19 and Beyond

As we continue to experience lock-downs, business closures, and travel restrictions as a result of COVID-19, the logistics of forensically collecting electronic information have become increasingly challenging.

Mobile devices, computers, and corporate IT systems have commonly been collected onsite, but sending an analyst to collect data in person may not be a viable option in many circumstances today. As a result, the ability to collect data remotely is no longer an optional extra, it is now a requirement.

In this webinar, we discuss how remote collections work from a practical standpoint, and explain how to defensibly collect data remotely from a wide range of data sources, including smartphones, tablets, personal computers, and corporate IT systems. We also explore the challenges and risks that exist when collecting data remotely, along with strategies to carry out those collections successfully and cost effectively.
